The circus is back in town with Hoopla Festival this Easter long weekend. In its 14th year, Hoopla is Australia's annual circus and street theatre festival featuring a world-class mix of Australian and international performers.
Darling Harbour will host everything from large scale performances in the Big TopCarnival of Dreams, plus brilliant buskers throughout the precinct. to intimate side show. Some of your favourite fun returns this year including the Big Top, the Tiny Top and Hoopla's non-stop kids' zone Circusworks where the young, and the young at heart, can try juggling, spinning plates, handheld stilts and hula hoops, all under expert supervision.
This is Australia's annual circus and street theatre festival as some of the world's best acrobats, jugglers, stunt performers, sideshow and street theatre acts There'll be expert aerialists flying around on a trapeze suspended below the Western Distributor, and more death-defying tumbles and stunts for the whole family in the Big Top. Eek.
Hoopla Nights will invite you to take a seat in the Big Top, explore the Carnival of Dreams and be amazed by awesome aerialists, edgy sideshows and brilliant buskers. Step into the Big Top for an alluring mix of high-flying thrills and fast-paced laughs!
You can also relax with a drink and a snack under the stars at the open-air bar while you soak up the harbourside carnival atmosphere and enjoy roving performers including the hilarious Teensy Top where you'll be the only audience member!
