Chromefest 2010 | The Entrance, Central Coast - Festival Girl Review

Festival Girl Rates: 7/10

Happy New Year everyone! On my recent short break to the Entrance, I came across Chromefest, which happens to be the Central Coast's favourite car show. I think this event was originally scheduled for October and because of some bad weather moved it early December. Ah huh, I see you've picked up on dated event. So yes, I was meant to post this in December, but you see, the holidays made me lazy and sluggish but I am back in full force for 2011 (New Years resolution)

A step back into the 1950's, feels like Super Kawaii Mama should be here

Forgive me for using my phone camera, but I was on my way to the beach and stumbled on this festival - festivals never sleep and neither does Festival Girl.

I'll Call this one Mustang Sally!

With over 8,000 visiting The Entrance on the Friday and Saturday for the annual festival of Cars, Dancing and Rock and Roll music, Chromefest is huge!

This is what a pack of Ford Mustangs look like in a wild pack. Notice the leader of the pack is showing dominance by baring his grills.

I'm not going to pretend that I am an expert on cars, or collectible cars at that, but I'll try to add my two cents and show you some of 1950's classic cars by the beach.

Elvis said it best: Well since my baby left me, I found a new place to dwell... in this beautiful Chevy

This car featured here, I think its a Holden was just massive, just the biggest car of its type. I can't believe I complain about parking my Barina.

Crowds gathered and watched the Dance Demonstrations on the Sails Stage and Memorial Park Stage.

Local clubs and pubs were also packed full of visitors for their shows on the Friday and Saturday nights.

Featuring entertainment from rockabilly styled musicians and an Elvis crooner that you would swear was the real deal (only shorter and rounded and not as handsome).

Dammit I missed it?

Next years ChromeFest will be held on the 21, 22 and 23 October, 2011 at the Entrance.

Love, Festival Girl xox

  1. I love old cards, especially old Holdens. I always dreamed of owning own. One day perhaps ...
